Pope Benedict, please explain….

I consider my Catholic faith a wonderful gift from God. It has comforted me through many difficult periods in my life. I also love America and I cherish the sanctity of our borders. We are experiencing wanton disregard of these borders by neighboring countries, by the Democratic Party, and by misguided Republicans, looking for votes. This is a security issue as well as an economic one. This is not a religious issue and Pope Benedict is wrong when he campaigns for open American borders. The Church should respect United States boundaries and laws.

The Pope should become more familiar with our immigration laws before he looks to denigrate us. We have enough problems when our Commander in Chief fails to enforce these laws.
